Coach, Speaker, Real Estate Investor

My personal real estate journey almost never happened. My mom lived in a one bedroom shack in Maine with an abusive father. After realizing that enough was enough, she left and went to Colorado and never looked back. She always told me that the most important thing is to get a college degree, work hard, stay in the corporate world, and only then will I achieve that American Dream. I did everything she told me, only to find out that it was all a myth. I started my career working in a male-dominated industry, such as consulting and private equity. I was told again and again that I didn’t have the right pedigree, education, background, and in so many ways, the right gender. They made me feel like I was incapable of anything more than basic and menial things. But instead of letting these things pull me down, these inspired me to be in charge of my own destiny. That is how I found real estate investing. After finding the right mentor and persevering in the last two years, I finally gained my seat at the table and am now calling the shots in what once used to be just a man’s world. This is the inspiration behind The Millionaire’s March. Just like how I found a great mentor, I also want to help other women and equip them with the right tools to level the playing field. I want to get that message across, that being a woman is in no way a disadvantage in succeeding in real estate. Through winning this grant, I want to build a community for women where we help each other out and build on what we have started, dominating the industry by giving them what I wish I had been provided for when I started this journey.
